Bring Medieval Swordsmanship to Your Event
We are Canterbury Medieval Combat (Medieval Sword School), a Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) group based in Kent. We run workshops, talks and demonstrations drawn directly from the surviving fight manuals of medieval Europe.
Real techniques, not stage fighting
We are not re-enactors putting on a show for the crowd. Everything we teach and demonstrate comes from techniques written down and described in period manuscripts. Many people don’t realise that medieval Europe had martial arts every bit as sophisticated as those of the Far East.

Who we work with
