February – Mondays 4 x 2 hour sessions
Come and learn the medieval dagger techniques of 15th century Germany. Learn how to defend yourself against a dagger attack without a weapon or with.
This is medieval self defence.
We use the techniques as described by Andres Lignitzer and Hans Talhoffer as our basis for a 4 week introduction of medieval dagger fighting (DolchFechten).
Dagger fighting in the German system is not knife fighting. Knife fighting (Messer Fechten) for Germans is using a machete sized weapon.
Learn the cuts, thrusts, grips, disarms and blocks of the German system…
It is a fairly easy system to learn that you can then go away and work on at your own. This is a practical no nonsense medieval self defence and a great gateway into our weapons of the systems.
Beginners welcome and you don’t have to be a club member to attend.
